frequently asked questions
I am a complete novice with my camera. Will you teach me how to use my camera?
While it is helpful for you to know your way around the basics of your camera it is not a necessity. I will help you to figure your camera out. Just make sure it is charged and has a memory card installed and I will help with the rest.
I only own a smartphone. Can I use this instead?
This workshop is designed to teach photography using a DSLR camera on Manual mode so a smartphone is not a suitable alternative.
I don’t own any editing software. Is that OK?
Yes. I will talk you through my favourite editing software and can show you how to download the software using the App Store on your phone.
I don’t have a business and I only want to come to learn photography for myself, will this workshop still be suitable for me?
Yes. All of the camera work, composition, lighting and editing elements of this workshop will be relevant. The styling component will also help to consider how to use your eye to craft images and individual tasks can be set to accommodate each persons requirements.
I would like to learn about Instagram and using photography specifically on this platform. Will you teach Instagram in this workshop?
This workshop is designed to teach photography and styling images for social media but I will not be teaching Instagram in this workshop. If you are interested in getting the most out of Instagram, you can request a one-on-one workshop to gain insights on all things Instagram.
How many participants are in each workshop?
There is a minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 people per workshop. If the minimum number of 4 participants isn’t reached, then the workshop will be rescheduled.
What if I am running late?
Workshops will start at 9.30am. Where possible we will wait a couple of minutes for late arrivals but due to the amount of information to get through, workshops will generally commence on time.

Parking is available and all details relating to location, public transport etc will be provided to you once your spot is confirmed.
